Holidays Around the World

Before we headed off for winter break, we spent several days learning about different holidays celebrated around the the world.  As we learned, we paid close attention to the similarities between them.  We discovered that there were many similarities such as connecting with friends and family, giving to those in need, singing and dancing, and decorating with light.  We played new games, learned new songs, and used google Earth to learn more about the places where many people celebrate different holidays.  And, of course, we did a lot of art.
